Firerose Papillons

The "N" Litter: 2010

Puppies:

I don't have a lot of puppies at any one time (hard to do, since litters are typically 1-3 puppies. 4 is a bonus!). I like to take my time with puppies, give them lots of individual attention, and take them places - they get lots of car rides, exposure to new situations (training buildings, parks, stores, other friendly & reliable dogs of all sizes and breeds, and a variety of people), before they start going home (usually around 12-14 weeks of age. They are "housed" in the middle of everything: they see the other dogs from the time their eyes open; hear everything that goes on; and go in the motorhome when we head out for a weekend. They are used to having their nails trimmed, bathing, and brushing/combing.

Retirees:

I don't often have retirees available. Depending on the particular dog; I might look for a Jr Showmanship home, someone who wants to do rally or obedience, or tracking or freestyle. It depends on the age of the dog and the dog's abilities, or if they just plain deserve to be a couch-dog with a daily walk or two and tons of doting attention from their new family.

Sometimes I have a young dog (1-4 years) that for some reason isn't fitting with goals that have been set; through no fault of the dog. Sometimes that dog just isn't meant for me; and no matter how hard I try, we don't click. Or the dog just isn't suited for what I am asking of it.

It will be noted on the News page when puppies are expected, or a retiree is looking for a home.

Here is an application (<--- link active with availability) if you're interested in a Firerose Papillon. Please be thorough; answer each question.
