Albe's life was cut short by a GSD mix - he was attacked and killed. A horrible blow, following Oscar's death by two days in the same manner. Rest in peace, little Albe. Albe is the first puppy born of the first litter....the litter was named in the traditional alphabetical method, so all puppy names started with "A", after the prefix Firerose. Alberich was (according to the website the name was found on) a mythical Norse dwarf, and it seemed a suitable name for a small breed dog. When Alicia flew in for the weekend, I still wasn't sure which puppy she would be taking home with her! Andy, or Albe... Albe, with his high drive was driving me nuts...so Alicia had Mr. OverAchiever to take home, and I kept Andy....who can be the same at times. He's a lovely male, who took after his mother Scarlet in looks - nicely elegant and refined. Albe earned his AKC CH. And I am very proud of all that Alicia,and her sister Marcy, do with him to fulfill his potential! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Flyball News: Albe is the 32nd highest ranked Papillon in this sport. (5/2/05). Apparently there are a lot of Papillons enjoying flyball! At 9 months: Shown below with his first ribbons from his first UKC conformation show in Longmont, CO. A lot of fun & learning over the weekend, capped by great comments from judges & exhibitors on Albe's attitude, structure and movement - 5 Best of Breeds and 1 Group IV placement. Well done, Alicia & Albe! | ||
